Explain “side chain compression” in Ableton live?
Side-chain compression is basically using another signal to engage a compressor to attenuate the signal (bass) you are compressing. Typically you are trying to do that with a kick drum. It allows you to have two signals compete for the same frequency range. On doing so, it will feel that beats are glued with each other overall mix sound nice.
How can you export audio into the Ableton live using arrangement view?
To export audio in Ableton live you have to use session and arrangement view, from which you can export audio.
To export audio from arrangement view, you have to follow the following steps:

- Make your own arpeggios – live arpeggios midi effect device has a lot of controls

What all things you can do with the Abletons Impulse device?
With Ableton’s impulse device, you can
- Control all drum pads with the same pitch
- Set velocity to change the pitch
- Re-shape each pad’s sound in either direction for longer or shorter sounds
How can you make a Gate Synth in Ableton live?
To create a gate synth in Ableton live, you have to follow the following steps
- Create channels and devices:- we need a gate trigger sidechain channel, it will send the signal in our gate synth
- Make a synth with long sustained notes:- On a different MIDI channel makes an instrument. The note length needs to be long because if it is short the gate won’t do anything
- Create gate effect with a gate device:- Set the audio from the gate trigger channel or the channel that you use for gate triggering.
- Make some effects:- After everything is done add some effects to spice things up
